How To Create the Perfect Freelancer Profile

In order to apply for delivery driving gigs you need to complete your freelancer profile.

This acts as an online CV and allows Business Owners to see who is applying for their gigs.

This is your chance to stand out from the crowd!

Check out our top tips for each section below.

1. Bio and Profile Description

Tell us a little (or a lot) about you! Show off your personality and hobbies, tell us what makes you a great delivery driver.

Do you like working in teams? Enjoy fast paced work environments? Tell us why!

Maybe you’re part of a sports club, or you volunteer in your local community. Tell us about it. The more the business owner knows about you, the more likely they are to be ready to trust you with their deliveries.

For our delivery drivers, we recommend sharing what type of vehicle you have, as some businesses select for specific vehicles!

A great bio and description can help you get chosen for gigs, so put some thought into this section.

2. Web and Social

Have an online presence, a portfolio, or social media following you’d like to share? This is your chance!

There are 3 different sections, including options to share your own website, your social media page or your LinkedIn page.

You are under no obligation to share personal profiles with businesses, but if you like to vlog your delivery jobs, or talk about your experiences businesses will enjoy this type of insight into your personality!

3. Work Experience

This section is one of the most vital parts of a Freelancers profile.

Here is your opportunity to share the experience and skills you have learned throughout your career, no matter how long or short it may be.

Any delivery experience is amazing to include here, but don’t forget all the transferable skills from other jobs you may have held.

For instance, working in a shop helps you to develop customer service skills. This is highly relevant to delivery driving!

If you don’t have any formal work experience, that’s ok too. Use this section to tell businesses about the other experiences that have helped to shape your skills. Volunteer work, extra-curricular activities, internships, and apprenticeships are all relevant here!

4. Education

Gigable gigs are more dependent on experience and personality than education, however, use this section to show off!

Completing certifications, courses, secondary schooling, university or any other form of education is a huge achievement and this is your chance to shout about it.

Employers are looking for reliable and trustworthy drivers and they will appreciate any insights like this into your dedication, and hard-work over the years.

5. Other Information

This is a great place to tell us about specifics that will be relevant to the jobs you are applying for!

Here you can tell us if you have a driving licence, your own vehicle, if you are fluent in English, or any other language.

It’s also an opportunity to show off any particular licenses or certifications you may have! Completing our driver specialist course? This is a great place to mention this.

Don't Forget - Update your payment details!

In order to get paid, don’t forget to update your payment details.

In the profile section click on the top right corner and hit ‘Payment Settings’. Here you can add your bank details in order to get paid.

That’s it! Once your profile is complete it’s time to upload your identity documents and start applying.
